The Maverick Life is about sailing to anywhere your heart desires with family and friends. Laminic has been enjoying the Maverick Life and was lovingly cared for over the years.
Launched in Cape Town, South Africa on 14th September 2009 as a Maverick 400, she has had two owners since new.
The first owner lovingly cared for her under his watchful eye when she was moored in Abu Dhabi. She enjoyed leisure sailing locally and entertaining with friends & family.
She then was sailed back to Cape Town, South Africa, and was extended to a Maverick 440 in the Maverick factory, detailed and new factory installed options added was relaunched in July 2016.
Her current owner kept her in Langebaan, on the West Coast of South Africa and like her previous owner enjoyed leisure sailing locally with family and friends. Due to the close relationship with the factory the yacht was well maintained.
Laminic is fully equipped to open the next chapter in her life as a pleasure sailing craft for family and friends that is capable of long distance blue water cruising.
Laminic is certified under the European Recreational Craft Directive as CE Category A: Open Ocean. HULL DECK & APPENDAGES

The broad flat hulls are a composite sandwich
construction, using hand laid stitched fabrics with balsa as the core. -
All resins, chop strand mat & stitched quad axle mat are
approved by Lloyds, SABS and ISO 9002. -
Balanced spade rudders and sacrificial low profile slim
line keel foils are unique. -
Epoxy primer is applied below the water line to protect
GRP against osmosis – followed by 2 coats of antifouling. -
All sea-cocks are double clamped below waterline.

The bow incorporates two collision bulkheads, one facing
forward and the other protecting below waterline collisions. -
Deck laminate specifications are the same as the hull.

Amidships boarding steps, both to port & starboard,
includes chain plates with mid ship cleats. -
