As standard, we fit a double helm seat and you can choose the style & color scheme.
You can choose any helm seat on the market today and we'll install this for you.
We'll even custom make you a helm seat to your specification if you like.
When you are at the helm of a Maverick you are always included in the social life on board the yacht. You have a fantastic view of the ocean in all directions and are close to the aft of the yacht which is perfect for mooring. The cockpit and helm offer good weather protection with the solid bimini and windshield. The windshield can open for ventilation and better visibility in the rain while still providing protection from the elements.
The helm seat swivels to face the cockpit at anchor. From the helm, you are in contact with the galley and have direct access to the nav station, saloon, and side deck.
Cockpit Layout
Choose your own Cockpit layout
We offer two main choices of cockpit layout.
The standard cockpit includes a table that slides up on a pole so that it's out of the way on a day-to-day basis. When the table is in the down position it provides alfresco dining for up to 1o people when combined with the L-shape seating on the port side and the addition of a couple of loose chairs. The beauty of the design is that you still have walking access to both aft transoms with guests seated at the table(s). You also have the advantage of seating up to 4 adults for dinner with the main table in the up position and out of the way creating more space.
The optional cockpit layout replaces the L-shape seating with a 6-seater table that converts into a day bed. There is still a table on a pole that slides up out of the way or can be lowered to form a cocktail table at standing height or an additional table for alfresco dining, bringing the total seated dining to 10 people. Here again, there is walking room to provide good access to both the transoms of the yacht with both the tables in use.
Both cockpit versions include a BBQ on the port side, a hot/cold outdoor deckwash, and king size swim ladder.
Galley Layout
Choose your own Galley layout
With the interior layout, you have many options and each Maverick is custom made to the owner's specifications.
The full layout of the galley/kitchen is configurable to the owner's personal requests, including appliances.
You can choose the counter tops, wood finish, buttons, light fittings, taps, the position of plug points and more.
You may position or the washing/dryer machine in a number of places in scullery, galley or port forward cabin.
You may choose to have a dishwasher in the galley, double basins, and a prep bowl.
You can have an L-Shape OR U-Shape Galley.
You may choose to have additional cold storage - including an ice maker .
Owner's Cabin
Make your owner's cabin personal
You can configure the cupboards, drawers, seating, and desk to your personal requirements
You may choose to have a double or single basin in your en-suite bathroom.
You can have a study desk in the owner's hull OR change this to a sofa that serves as an occasional single bed.
You can have additional countertop space/dresser table or additional full-length cupboards.
The décor is your personal choice - consistent with the rest of the yacht.
Port Forward Cabin
The port forward cabin is a versatile space
The standard port forward cabin has a double bed and child's bunk in the forepeak.
You can change the child's bunk into a walk-in pantry, that is accessed via folding up one half of the double bed.
Some Mavericks have washer/dryers in the port forward cabin, some have them in the galley/scullery. You can have the washer/dryer fitting in the scullery area on the bridge deck with access from the port forward cabin.
On the Maverick 440, Our Rose, the port forward cabin is used for storage or drying of scuba dive gear, drying of clothes, pantry, and the occasional guest cabin. It is fitted with a de-humidifier with allows BCD's and clothes to dry while hanging, which consumes less electricity and no water - compared to the drying cycle of a washer/dryer.
The port forward cabin has 3 opening hatches and one opening portlight for ventilation. You can add an additional portlight towards the inside of the hulls - enabling a view of water flowing under the trampolines.
Guest Cabin
Treat your guests
The guest cabin at port aft has a queen-size double bed positioned at the best place on the yacht to sleep. The bed is parallel to the hulls with the least amount of motion at the aft of the yacht.
The island bed is easy to access from both sides and easy to make.
The standard guest cabin has a full-length cupboard for hanging clothes and includes a shelf - you can add a bookshelf for extra storage. USB chargers, plug points, and lighting can be custom specified.
Navigation Station
Navigation Station to match your lifesyle
The navigation station is positioned at the entrance to the saloon close to the helm station. You can have a repeater from your chart plotter to the big screen TV. This is a great position on the yacht for a flat screen TV as it is protected from most sun angles and you can enjoy watching it while on the sofa or daybed in the saloon.
Some Mavericks position the nav station in the scullery area in order to have a forward-facing view. Other Mavericks utilize the nav station space for additional storage as the owners prefer to do their passage planning at the saloon table - or the desk in the owner's hull.
There is a possibility of having an upright glass storage cupboard for charts in the port companionway OR
you can include a small workbench and organized stand up tool cupboard in the port companionway.
Choose your own appliances
Choose your own appliances
You can decide on the appliances, the position of plug points, the light fittings, and more.
The first decision is whether to have all the household appliances on 110 V, 60 Hz or 220 V, 50 Hz.
For maximum flexibility for a circumnavigation, you can have both 110 V & 220 V shore power connections.
All other equipment is 12-volt, although you may choose to have 24-volt.
Certain appliance we include as standard, such as the oven & hob and cold storage. If you would like to change these appliances you can get a rebate to put towards choosing an alternative appliance of your choice.
